Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage chopped
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Meat
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Liquid
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method
 

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
Sautéing the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
Finishing Touches
  1. Return the cooked bacon to the skillet and mix well.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Drizzle with apple cider vinegar and stir to combine.
  3. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then serve hot.
