Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 1 head green cabbage chopped
  • 1 medium onion sliced
Meat
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
Liquid
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method
 

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
Sautéing the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir well to combine with the onions and bacon drippings.
Seasoning and Cooking
  1. Sprinkle the garlic powder, black pepper, and salt over the cabbage. Stir to coat evenly.
  2. Cover the skillet and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  3. Add the apple cider vinegar and cooked bacon back to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
