Prepare the Brisket
- Trim excess fat from the beef brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
Cook the Brisket
- Place the brisket in the slow cooker.
- Pour the beef broth and BBQ sauce over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the brisket is tender.
Serve
- Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
