Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 large Russet Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
Sauce
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream can substitute with half-and-half
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese plus more for topping
  • 1 cup Milk whole milk recommended
  • 3 tablespoons Butter for greasing the dish
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Using a mandoline slicer, thinly slice the potatoes and set aside.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
  2. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Serve
  1. Let the scalloped potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
