Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 medium Russet Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
Sauce
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese plus more for topping
  • 2 tablespoons Butter for greasing the dish
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Thinly slice the peeled potatoes using a knife or mandoline.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
  2. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce. Top with additional shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serve
  1. Let the scalloped potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
