Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, molasses, and honey until well combined.
Mixing and Baking
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
- Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut a deep cross on top of the loaf with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
