Method
Prepare the Potatoes
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Whisk until smooth.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Assemble the Dish
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled bacon.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, cheese, and bacon.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions.
