Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1 large egg beaten
Filling
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs or fresh herbs if available
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and beaten egg. Gradually add to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, Italian herbs, minced garlic, and olive oil. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Monkey Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Bundt pan.
  2. Divide the dough into small pieces, about the size of a golf ball. Flatten each piece and place a spoonful of the cheese filling in the center. Pinch the dough around the filling to seal.
  3. Place the filled dough balls into the prepared Bundt pan, stacking them as you go.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve
  1. Allow the monkey bread to cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm and enjoy!
