French Onion Deviled Eggs

Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 6 large eggs hard-boiled
Filling
  • 1 cup French onion dip store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Eggs
  1. Hard-boil the eggs by placing them in a saucepan, covering with water, and bringing to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes, then cool in ice water.
Make the Filling
  1. Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the French onion dip, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mash together until smooth.
  3. If desired, mix in the grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Assemble the Deviled Eggs
  1. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  2. Garnish with chopped chives on top.
Serve
  1. Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter and serve chilled.
