French Onion Deviled Eggs

Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 6 large eggs hard-boiled
Filling
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup French onion dip mix
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons crispy fried onions for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Eggs
  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pot, remove from heat, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the egg yolks, mayonnaise, sour cream, French onion dip mix, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mash the mixture with a fork until smooth and well combined.
Assemble the Deviled Eggs
  1. Using a piping bag or spoon, fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture.
  2. Sprinkle the tops with chopped chives and crispy fried onions for garnish.
Serve
  1. Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
