Prepare the Batter
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.
Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
