  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.
Bake the Cake
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
