Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and egg. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the corn kernels, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
- Top with additional shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
