Method
Prepare the Meat
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and pickles to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Assemble the Casserole
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture with ketchup and mustard. Stir until well mixed.
- Spread half of the meat mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the meat mixture.
- Layer the frozen French fries on top of the cheese.
- Top with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
Bake
- Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
