Cajun Style Fried Deviled Eggs

A spicy twist on classic deviled eggs, these Cajun Style Fried Deviled Eggs are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, perfect for appetizers or parties.

Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 6 large eggs hard-boiled
Filling
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon pickles finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
Breading
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
Frying
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning for sprinkling
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Eggs
  1. Hard boil the eggs, then cool them in ice water. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
Make the Filling
  1. Remove the yolks from the egg halves and place them in a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, chopped pickles, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mash and mix until smooth.
Assemble the Eggs
  1. Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites. Set aside.
Bread the Eggs
  1. Dredge each stuffed egg half in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Eggs
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded eggs until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Sprinkle with additional Cajun seasoning and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes
