Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oats rolled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars chopped
Topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for melting chocolate

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Add the Filling
  1. Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the base.
  2. Sprinkle the chopped Butterfinger candy bars over the caramel layer.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with vegetable oil over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the Butterfinger layer, spreading it evenly.
Bake and Cool
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.
