Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Cut the bread into cubes and place half of the cubes in the prepared baking dish. Layer half of the berries on top.
- Pour half of the custard mixture over the bread and berries. Repeat the layers with the remaining bread, berries, and custard.
- Cover the dish with foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
Baking
- Bake the casserole covered with foil for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar and serving with whipped cream.
