Ingredients

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of your choice
Sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup pasta water reserved from cooking pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method

Cook Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.
Prepare Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Reduce heat to low, then add the softened cream cheese and reserved pasta water. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add more pasta water as needed.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
